The unique technology that will help ships avoid collisions with other ships, whales or drifting objects in the sea will be a part of a joint project launched by specialists from Białystok, Iława and Szczecin.

The project “AVAL” received over  9.2 million PLN in EU funding from the Intelligent Development program. Money was granted by the National Center for Research and Development. The agreement is already signed – said Dr. Jolanta Koszelew, PhD, from the faculty of computer science at the Bialystok University of Technology.

Sup4Nav specialists will look at how navigation uses “anti-collision” information that identifies the system and how to integrate it with the autopilot.
